New Today - Matt & Amy

Hi, My name is Amy & what a great idea for a support group! My husband & I actually received a referral in December 2007 (yes, we were one of the lucky one's who made it in time to be grandfathered). We were going through the DNA, family court, etc when about a month ago we received a devestating phone call. The pediatrician at HH had diagnosed our precious baby girl with a rare brain defect. 70% of babies don't live past the age of 1. This was/is so difficult. We realized that the daughter we were hoping to bring home would not be able to come home. We actually just returned home from Guatemala last week from visiting her again & saying good-bye. The neat thing is that our church had a mission trip planned to HH for over a year now (and it was last week). We were able to travel with about 13 others from our church to HH! God's timing amazes me---he knew we would need that extra support around us at that time. Sooooo.................back to waiting. We had already spent all of 2007 on the wait list. Now we find ourselves in the middle of the shut down. Trusting that God's plan is perfect & he know's best for each one of us.Thank you.
